I have to admit when I pulled the wand out I was sceptical as to how good it was gonna be. The brush is massive and I was convinced I was just going to get mascara everywhere. However, it is surprisingly easy to use mess free. So far I don't think I've had any eyeball impalement's and I only get the odd spot on my lid if I'm being a dick and not concentrating.
As I am already blessed with pretty long lashes (the only thing I won in the genetic lottery) volume is what I look for most in a mascara. The smashbox full exposure mascara promises a 104% increase in lash volume (is that even mathematically possible?). I would say 104% is a bit of an exaggeration but it definitely gives volume and is by far the best mascara I have tried for voluminous lashes. It also claims to give a 32% increase in lash length and a 34 degree increase in lash curl (who works this shit out?). I have to agree it definitely is an all rounder mascara, adding volume, length and a curl which stays all day and got it a spot in my October Favourites.
The size of the wand means you can coat pretty much all your lashes in one sweep but I'm not sure how great it would be for anyone with smaller eyes. I much prefer a fibre brush to the terrifying looking rubber ones so when I saw this one it made my eyes happy. The picture below is with one coat but I have also tried two coats and it is still perfectly clump free. Another factor that makes my eyes happy is that it does'nt flake. My eyes seem to have a magic ability to attract debris, especially mascara flakes. The fact that this one doesn't flake means that I don't have to fish around in my eyes whilst I look like I'm crying/been poked in the eye.
So in summary this is hands down my holy grail mascara and at £19.50 I would most definitely buy it again. I can't imagine my life without this tube of black gloop.
