I'm super lazy when it comes to styling my hair and usually just have it straight. This means I love to add a bit of volume to liven it up a bit. I was kindly sent out some of the John Frieda Luxurious Volume range* to give my hair a bit of a treat.
I've been trying the Luxurious volume Shampoo* and Luxurious volume conditioner* for about 2 months I think it is now and I love them. I don't wash my hair very often, probably once maybe twice a week. This means I find some styling shampoo/conditioners are too heavy for my hair and make it greasy super fast and me and my crappy body can't be dealing with that. I haven't noticed any difference in the time I can go between hair washes since using these though so that's a big thumbs up. They don't leave your hair super soft so it's easier to style. I also received the In-Shower Treatment* which I don't use very often as it is quite a thick and heavy product. As I already have quite thick hair I'm not sure how much this does for me but if you have fine hair I've heard this is an amazing product. Last but not least I spray on the Root Booster Blow Dry Lotion* before attempting to blow dry my hair and I definitely noticed a difference in volume with this. I do however wish these smelt better. Don't get me wrong they don't smell bad they're just nothing exciting and you know how I feel about delicious smelling products.
Some more of my absolute favourites for a volume boost are the Batiste Oomph My Locks XXL Volume Spray and Batiste Dry Shampoo in general is perfect for when my hair isn't looking it's freshest. It also has the added bonus of adding a touch of volume. I've also recently been trying out the Batiste Heavenly Volume Dry Shampoo to see if it's any better than the original. I'm not sure how I feel about it at the moment as it doesn't seem to make my hair look as fresh but I'll get back to you.
Then my all time absolute fave is Umberto Giannini Backcomb in a Bottle. This stuff adds all the volume you will ever need and stays all night. This was always my go to for a night out at uni. Plus I adore Umberto Gianninis packaging. It's always so gorgeous.
However, currently I am rocking a horrendous bun that is beyond messy and should never be seen by anyone. I'll just pretend I always have super glam hair that I actually brush on a daily basis
