Sleek are killing it at the moment. Their latest My Face, My Rules campaign was incredible. Their products are affordable without compromising on quality as well as having sleek packaging. I'm a huge fan of their highlighters and liquid lipsticks. I was kindly sent some of their latest range to help slay this party season
I-Art in Romanticism* - £7.00
The i-Art is such a cool new multipurpose product. It can be used as a statement eyeshadow or eyeliner. Now I suck at eyeshadow but just whacking this all over the lid and blending out the edges looks beautiful. The intense, super pigmented, water resistant formula means it's long lasting. The strong colour payoff and beautiful blendable texture means it makes such a gorgeous cream eyeshadow. It has a mini paint brush style applicator which makes it so easy to apply. The shade romanticism is a bit light for an eyeliner but looks amazing when used to add another line on top of a black wing.
Strobe Dome in Pink* - £7.00
I am a little bit in love with this highlighter. First off the packaging and dome shape just makes it look so damn adorable. The lightweight, innovative formula means it blends like a dream. I find this more of a "natural" highlighter as it's not too in your face, it just gives the perfect healthy glow. I found it did make my foundation go a bit patchy if I applied straight from the dome and tried to blend but that's just because my skin is so dry. For my skin I found it was best to apply it with my finger and it just looks so beautiful. Sleek are so amazing at highlighters. Solstice palette I'm looking at you.
Matte Me Metallic in Molten Topaz* - £4.99
Now I'm not a huge fan of the metallic lip trend but this shade is absolutely beautiful. It's a gorgeous pinky red with a rose gold metallic/foil finish. Just perfect for the party season. The Sleek matte me lipsticks are amazing. They are so comfortable to wear and for £5 they wear really well. I did a full review on some of their plain matte me shades here.
As mentioned earlier, I suck at eyeshadow. I have zero idea what I'm doing and all the shades and blending just blows my mind. I tend to just stick to winged liner. That being said this bronze palette is so damn beautiful I just want it on my eyes. How bloody gorgeous are those metallic shades. The pigmentation of this palette is absolutely incredible with only the black powder shade (2) needing a few swipes to build up colour. The cream shades (3 & 5) are so creamy and beautiful and just look at that gold. The metallic powders are so buttery and apply like a dream. Now I just need to learn how to do a killer eye look because I want to rock these shades every day of my life.
A party look isn't complete without a sleek hairdo. Now I'm more of a makeup person than a hair person and I tend to rock the I just got out of bed look. Dry shampoo is definitely my best friend. However, I was also sent some bits from Scunci. I very rarely dry my hair because lifting a hair dryer and all the heat kills me but this blow dry brush* definitely makes life easier on the rare occasions I do. My brother will probably nab it at some point for his hair though. I was also sent this faux bob tool*. It was a bit fiddly for my crappy arms and hands and the clips didn't quite work in my super thick hair. However, this could be handy if you are undecided on whether to go for the chop or not.
What are your party season must haves?
