The Blood On My Hands - True Crime Autobiography
I don't tend to read much true crime, instead opting for the fictional world of crime with witty, lovable detectives and crimes that seem a bit far fetched. However, a while ago (sorry Shannon & Kelsey for the super long delay) I was asked if I wanted to read Shannon's story and I was definitely intrigued. I think we can all forget that serial killers have families that are affected.
The Blood On My Hands* is an autobiography written by Shannon O'Leary telling us what it was like growing up in the same house as a serial killer and terrifying abuser.

Favourite Books of 2019
In usual Beth style, this post is extremely late. However, it is perfect timing if you are looking for something to read during the lockdown. All of these books bar one are crime thrillers so if you are looking for gruesome murder to distract you then I highly recommend checking these out.

Dying My Hair With Colour Freedom
When I was pink I used the Schwarzkopf Live Ultra Brights in Shocking Pink. You can check out my retro post from 5 whole years ago to see some terrible quality photos of baby faced me with long pink hair. They do have a purple dye but it didn't take to my hair very well and turned pink after one wash which is why it took me so long to actually go purple.

2019 Beauty Favourites
My favourite thing to reflect on in the new year is all the products I have loved. You can see all the products that I've loved through the years here - 2016 - 2017 - 2018. I scaled back on my base makeup this year but I am still a sucker for a good lipstick. I also found my all time favourite eyeliner which I will never part with. So, here are the products I was constantly reaching for and absolutely loved throughout 2019.

2019 Roundup
Well, this is extremely late. More than usual. Will I ever get a post up on time? I highly doubt it. However, part of it isn’t my fault. I moved house over Christmas (terrible idea, don’t ever do it) and I still don’t have wifi. The geniuses that re-plastered after the previous tenants fire decided to just plaster over the phone line so now I have no way of getting internet until that is sorted and OpenReach are shit at their job. I’m currently trying to survive off my phone data and am now at my parents to steal their wifi to finally get some posts scheduled.
I know these posts can make people feel a bit shitty about what they haven’t achieved, me included. However, I need to write this. I love to look back on things I did over the year, no matter how small. It makes me realise that I did more than I thought and it reminds me of the good things that did happen amongst the huge amounts of pain and many flares with copious naps and not leaving the house for days on end.
